Capital Cities have enjoyed success in their native America with hit single Safe and Sound, but new release Farrah Fawcett Hair is way more interesting to me. "Quirky" is an understatement when describing this song. It's a self-referential musical collage of spoken word sound bites, a list of things considered to be "good shit," building up to a fantastic, rousing vocal section (which would make a great chorus in a more traditional song). With every listen I notice something new. I hope the powers that be don't decide this song is too weird for radio, because it should rightfully be huge.
