Galantis is the result of two talented Swedish producers getting together to make lovely uplifting dance music. Linus Eklund (Style of Eye) and Christian Karlsson (from Miike Snow/Bloodshy & Avant) revealed their new project late last year with the sunny single Smile and its attention-grabbing video. Thanks to the duo’s previous success, they received instant support from the music media with plays on Radio 1 and a blogging frenzy. Every time I check the Hype Machine chart there seems to be a different Galantis song hanging around near the top. Although both Linus and Christian have plenty going on with their other projects (especially Linus, whose new single deserves to be huge), it seems Galantis is now their focus, with a U.S. tour, Coachella appearance and an EP release all scheduled for April.
